May I bring seating with me?
You may bring blankets and folding chairs with a flexible seat and back to the event site (deckchairs, lawn chairs, beer tent furniture and chairs with storage/table are not permitted). You can find a complete list of the items which may not be brought into the event on the back of the entry tickets or in the garden rules & regulations.
Can food and drinks be brought in?
Yes, you may bring food and drinks into the event grounds.
Where can I park?
The Herrenhausen Gardens have their own paid parking right by the Great Garden.
Can I park my mobile home at the Herrenhausen Gardens?
Yes, there is a caravan park right by the Herrenhausen Gardens. The address is: Am Großen Garten 3, 30419 Hannover. There is no water/electricity supply or waste disposal.
Will the fireworks go ahead if it rains?
Yes, the event will take place even in bad weather.
Can I exchange or return my tickets?
Admission tickets cannot be exchanged or returned. The date of the ticket cannot be changed.
Do children have to pay?
Yes, but only those aged 6 and over. Children up to the age of 5 have free entry.
Is the entire Great Garden open to the public on the evening of the event?
Large areas are open to the public, but the firework area itself is closed off for safety reasons. The area behind this will be cleared for spectators around an hour before the fireworks begin. The spectator area is marked on the outline map.
Is the International Fireworks Competition suitable for wheelchair users?
Yes, the Herrenhausen Gardens are fully accessible. There are disabled toilets and a cordoned-off area for wheelchair users.
Which disabilities receive a discount?
Any holder of a disabled person’s pass will receive a discount. If an accompanying person is authorised in the pass (marked with a “B”), then they may enter free of charge, without requiring an additional ticket.
Can I leave and re-enter the grounds?
No, tickets are only valid for one entry. Tickets will be validated upon initial entry to prevent their further use. You cannot re-enter after leaving the grounds.
Can lost tickets be replaced?
No, lost tickets (printed or Print@home digital) cannot be replaced.
Can the invoice be used as an admission ticket?
No, only admission tickets with a QR code can be scanned, identified and validated at the entrance.
Can I also present my ticket on my mobile?
Yes, you can save the Wallet ticket directly on your smartphone. For this purpose, you need an app so that you can use the .pkpass file used by Wallet.
Why are the tickets for Print@home personalised?
The personalisation is solely for the use of public transport. You must have your ID card with you for the purpose.
Can tickets be transferred to someone else?
Yes, tickets can be transferred to someone else no later than three working days before the date of the fireworks, for a fee of €2.00 per ticket.
May I take photos and videos of the fireworks with my camera?
Yes, you may take photos and record videos of the fireworks for your own private use.
Please note: Please be aware that in purchasing an admission ticket for the International Fireworks Competition, you consent to the recording of audio, image and video footage during the course of the event and their duplication and publishing over an unlimited area and time period. Consent is expressly given by not claiming a refund.
