Christmas markets in Hanover

In the old town around the market church there is a magical atmosphere between around 170 Christmas stalls and historical half-timbered houses. Your guests stroll through festively illuminated alleys to the Finnish Christmas Village on Ballhofplatz, where Finnish specialties such as freshly cooked flamed salmon or Glögi await them next to a real cloth tent.

The historic Christmas village on the banks of the Leine is just a reindeer jump away. Your guests will be transported back a few centuries and experience old craftsmanship with great hands-on activities. In the wishing well forest just a few meters away, 50 fir trees on around 400 square meters create a fairytale atmosphere. Here the visitor will find almost everything that the Christmassy connoisseur's heart desires.

There is also a Christmas spirit outside the old town: around 40 stalls in front of the main train station invite you to discover culinary delicacies and Christmas handicrafts. And the Lister Meile is a family-run place: children's train, carousels and puppet theater make children's eyes light up and culinary delicacies leave nothing to be desired. Numerous small markets with handicrafts and culinary delights also invite you to take a leisurely Christmas stroll in the area around Hanover.
