DOMOTEX is cancelled!

Statement from Deutsche Messe AG:

"We fought for DOMOTEX together with the exhibiting companies until the very end and have been in daily communication with the industry for months," said Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director DOMOTEX, Deutsche Messe AG.

"DOMOTEX is particularly affected by the impact of the Corona pandemic, as the vast majority of DOMOTEX exhibitors and visitors come from abroad. However, given the current pandemic situation, international business travel is not expected to recover in the short term," added Wedell-Castellano.

Just over a month ago, the organizers had planned to stage DOMOTEX in the southern part of the Hannover exhibition grounds in a compact format as a re-start event in three halls, giving the industry a chance to meet physically after nearly two years of the pandemic.

Says Wedell-Castellano: "What was considered a realistic and promising Re-Start scenario a month ago, and was also well received by the market, has been shown in recent days to be no longer feasible."

Deutsche Messe AG is looking into a DOMOTEX date later in the 2022 calendar year.

Exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, four days of business, the latest trends and lifestyle, as well as countless opportunities to take orders ... this is the promise of DOMOTEX – The World of Flooring – that marks the start of the trade’s business year. For a few days Hannover will serve as an international centre for the flooring sector and offer an ideal place for networking and getting business leads.
