DreamHack comes to Hannover

DreamHack, one of the gaming community’s most traditional and iconic events, is coming to Hannover. In a nationwide bidding process, Deutsche Messe has secured the contract for the gaming lifestyle event. As of this year, the organizer and official licensee for DreamHack events in Germany and France is Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, a global full-service agency headquartered in Berlin that specializes in e-sports and gaming.

Multi-year strategic partnership

The multi-year strategic partnership between Freaks 4U Gaming and Deutsche Messe has the common goal of bringing the most important gaming and e-sports festival to Hannover and making it one of the biggest DreamHack festivals in the world. The first DreamHack Hannover will run from December 15 to 18, 2022, in three halls at the exhibition center.

“With DreamHack, we have been able to attract a new series of events to Hannover, which as an industry stands for a very different and thus special, digital and emotional festival atmosphere at the exhibition grounds in Hannover and in the city. We are looking forward to professional athletes and active e-sports fans making Hannover THE venue for the entire scene on the DreamHack days,” says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board, Deutsche Messe AG.

The decision pro Hannover resulted from the close networking and the great collaborative DreamHack commitment of the four Hannover stakeholders: the City of Hannover with the Lord Mayor Belit Onay, Hannover Marketing- und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG), the City-Gemeinschaft Hannover and Deutsche Messe.

Gaming lifestyle experience

“DreamHack is a great asset for the state capital Hannover as a gaming lifestyle experience. We are proud to be a venue in a row with world metropolises such as Dallas, Melbourne, Rotterdam and Madrid, for example. It shows once again how versatile, multifaceted and attractive Hannover is. DreamHack Hannover in December 2022 will be the first DreamHack event in Germany in almost three years and will feature all the activities the event is known for: BYOC LAN area, cosplay competitions, appearances by influencers an exhibition area, music performances and e-sports tournaments. In Hannover, DreamHack aims to bring “everything about gaming under one roof.”
