Focus on patients

MHH Medizinische Hochschule Hannover

Hannover Medical School has always seen itself as a place dedicated to supporting patients and those needing advice, with its three fields of activity (teaching, research and patient care) working together to fulfil this purpose. Teaching in the university and in schools provides practical training in caring for patients and supports the next generation of scientists. Research yields new insights into the nature and causes of illnesses, and its findings are continually incorporated into patient care and teaching curricula.

Unity, freedom, charity

Following the guiding principles of ‘Unitas, Libertas, Caritas’, more than 8,000 people are committed to serving patients. In addition, there are around 3,500 students on ten courses of study and more than 600 trainees.
