Syntellix

Syntellix AG was founded in Hanover in 2008, under the leadership of Prof Utz Claassen. The startup develops magnesium-based implants, which are used after bone fractures and then disperse in the body. Using a network of outstanding scientists, the company has been able to develop a material (MAGNEZIX®), which breaks down completely in the body, despite its high strength, and is then replaced by bone tissue.
