International Fireworks Competition

The Guelphs used the Grosser Garten as the stunning backdrop for various festivals, concerts, theatrical performances and illuminations. In honour of this tradition, the Herrenhausen Gardens host the international Fireworks Competition. On five Saturdays from May to September, the world´ s best pyrotechnicans light up the night´ s sky above this gem of Baroque garden design. The fireworks are complemented by a colourful accompanying progrmme featuring theatre, cabaret, live music and culinary specialities all based on the participating country.
