Here you will find information about the Leibniz Universität Hannover.
A leafy campus in the middle of town – the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University Hannover. Founded in 1831 as an upper vocational school, it rapidly evolved into a modern university. Formerly simply known as the University of Hannover, it has borne the new name Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University since 2006. An exhibition in the atrium of the main building, the “Welfenschloss“, includes copies of the calculating machine with cogwheels invented by Leibniz.
