Here you will find information about the Leibniztempel in the Georgengarten.
The circular temple that commemorates Leibniz was built from 1787 to 1790. The memorial originally and the bust of the scholar stood on today’s Waterlooplatz. To make way for a new urban planning layout, the massive sandstone building with twelve columns was moved to its present day locationin the Georgengarten in 1935/1936. A copy of a bust of Leibniz was placed in the temple on 1 July 2010. The temple is an attractive “point de vue”, a subject for photographs, and a favourite meeting place for people on outings, and romantic couples.
