The bust of the polymath Leibniz has an overview of the whole baroque wing at the Herrenhausen Palace Museum
The museum in the rebuilt Herrenhausen Palace has been open since May 2013, and exhibits famous personalities from Hannover’s history, as well as barock treasures. The original Leibniz bust has now found a new and safe resting place in the museum. The bust bears the inscription “LEIBNITZ” – use of a “tz” instead of a plain “z” was common practice when Leibniz was alive.
