25 Years
International School Hannover Region
Classes in English to prepare for a globalised world.
25th anniversary of the International School in Hannover
In the centre of Hannover, ‘Educating World Citizens’ has been the motto at the International School Hannover Region (ISHR) for a quarter of a century.
The ISHR is an accredited supplementary school with a proven educational approach. With its state-of-the-art, top-quality technological infrastructure, a robotics lab and a makerspace, as well as outdoor learning classrooms, it provides an innovative learning atmosphere that never ceases to fire up the pupils’ desire and enthusiasm for learning. Though digitalisation is on everyone’s lips today, the ISHR had already achieved this back in 2012.
Even in the kindergarten for children from the age of 3, the main teaching language is English.
On completion of grade 12, the pupils earn the International Baccalaureate (IB), a prestigious diploma allowing them to study at all colleges and universities worldwide.
The ISHR provides an ideal environment for pupils to develop the skills they’ll need to face today’s world and tomorrow’s challenges. This is highly appreciated not only by foreign professionals and executives: today around 35% of ISHR’s pupils are from German families who want to give their children the best possible education.
