Two strong partners, one successful service for private accommodation

Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH to work hand in hand with international service provider HOLIDU

Enhanced service and performance for Hannover’s private room hosts (called ‘trade fair mums’):
Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) will, in the future, have a new partner for private accommodation services: international marketing and service platform HOLIDU.

“From 1 January 2024, we will be realigning our business by digitising our private accommodation service, which will involve working with HOLIDU. Especially when trade shows are on, this will be a necessary addition to our overnight accommodation services, taking advantage of added business value in the wider Hannover area,” says HMTG’s managing director Hans Nolte.

With its all-round solutions, new partner HOLIDU will assist with online marketing, thus improving capacity utilisation in private room bookings. More than 20,000 hosts are already benefitting from personalized service, ease of use and the expertise of tourism professionals in managing their accommodation offerings.

In Hannover, accommodation in private homes – especially for trade fair (Messe) and conference goers – provided by private room hosts has a long and proud tradition. For Hans Nolte, adding a digital option that these hosts can use is a highly welcome boost to its product portfolio for room bookings: “Greater coverage, better capacity utilisation, affordable accommodation at peak times – having HOLIDU on board will make private room hosts fit for the future while lifting room rentals to an international standard.”

This cooperation between HMTG and HOLIDU will come into effect from the end of the 2023 business year. Under agreements governing accommodation services, social housing will remain ineligible for such temporary rental arrangements. This rule is partly to ensure that sufficient social living spaces are available in Hannover even during trade shows and other major events.
