Marienwerder Monastery and Hinüberscher Garden

The monastery was founded in 1196 as the Sanktae Mariae monastery in Werdere by Count Konrad I von Roden.

The Augustinian monastery is idyllically located near the Hinübersche Garden . The monastery had a checkered history and was often remodeled.
